In Alma the charm of the symbolic Sicilian object emerges strongly, also a metaphor of fertility of the mind that produces ideas of renewal and development. Descartes was among the first to associate the shape of the pine cone with the pineal gland of the human brain, considering it the home of the human spirit, the seat of the Soul. Hence, the name Alma.
